MeshCore enables the exchange of short messages without relying on mobile phone networks or the Internet. Instead, it uses its own radio network, built from personal devices and dedicated relay stations placed at strategic locations.

MeshCore is not intended to replace mobile networks or the Internet. For everyday communication, they remain the best choice. Instead, MeshCore provides an additional way to stay connected wherever existing infrastructure is unavailable, insufficient or deliberately avoided.
